Our specialised timber frame installation teams are increasingly in demand. Highly regarded products in both roll and slab, with differing thermal and acoustic properties, allows us to satisfy virtually all of our customers’ requirements.
After the insulation has been fitted we will ensure installation of the vapour controlled membrane, overlapping and taping all joints, in readiness for the next stage.
Most of the loft insulation we install is glass mineral wool roll manufactured by Knauf or Rockwool. A variety of products achieving different U values are available – our estimating team will advise you of the possible options from our range of products, for your development.
Rockwool is made from molten volcanic rock to bring you naturally efficient energy saving, unbeatable sound proofing and a level of fire safety that no other general insulation can match. A wall, partitions and floors, rockwool is suitable for acoustic, fire and thermal applications. The key to Rockwool is its flexibility. There are products in the core range to cover all common applications. We have the correct Rockwool solution to meet your needs.]
A non-combustible glass/Rock material wool roll/Batt for sound insulation in partitions, walls and floors.
The product provides a strong, resilient and flexible insulating mat, which is easy to cut, handle and install and will not slump under its own weight when suspended vertically.
Glass mineral wool is one of the most environmentally friendly insulation materials. Made from rot-proof, non-hygroscopic materials. It will not accelerate corrosion with steel, copper or aluminium; it will not sustain vermin, nor breed or promote fungi or bacteria.
Our specialised installer teams use the highest quality materials for insulating sloping/vaulted ceilings, its closed cell structure resists both moisture and water vapour ingress – problems which can be associated with open cell materials such as mineral fibre and which can result in reduced thermal performance, unaffected by air movement – problems that can be experienced with mineral fibre and which can reduce thermal performance.
Safe and easy to install, non-fibrous and less mess, it provides reliable long term thermal performance over the lifetime of the building.
